Our History

iCustomer was founded in 2006 by Tim Cheesewright. Before starting iCustomer, Tim managed a direct banking centre for one of the major banks and was a founding member of the Contact Centre Management Association (CCMA). With over 30 years in the financial services industry, Tim has gained international recognition for his commitment to finding customer solutions.

 

Driven by his passion for exceptional customer service and providing clients with genuine financial solutions, Tim noticed a prevailing focus on keeping customers in debt rather than working in their best interests to reduce their home loan debt. This insight inspired him to establish iCustomer with a vision to shift the industry’s focus towards prioritising customer interests.

What is iCustomer?

The “i” in iCustomer stands for information. At iCustomer, we are committed to connecting people with financial experts who can empower them with the knowledge needed to achieve financial freedom and security before retirement. iCustomer does not provide any financial advice or products, instead, we seek to understand each client’s situation, listening to their financial goals and needs to identify the independent experts who can help them to eliminate debt and take control of their financial situation.

 

With an aging population, increasing uncertainty around pensions, as well as the potential rise in the retirement age, having the right information is more crucial than ever to ensure you are maximising your ability to build wealth for now and for the future.

 

When Tim founded iCustomer in 2006, he recognised the need for customers to find reliable help. He discovered that most mortgage brokers are incentivised to keep customers in debt because they receive more ongoing trail commissions the more debt their customers’ have. This makes it difficult for customers to trust the advice that they receive. Understanding this, iCustomer has conducted a comprehensive review of professionals in the financial services industry to handpick experts in a wide variety of fields, from finance to investment and retirement advice, ensuring that they can match the experts with clients that they can genuinely assist.

 

iCustomer’s clients typically come through referrals. After iCustomer’s highly trained customer service advisors ascertain whether they can help, clients gain access to specialised financial experts, who volunteer their time at no cost to educate people on debt elimination and how to achieve financial freedom.  Here at iCustomer, we pride ourselves on transparency, offering no gimmicks or unrealistic claims—just facts and solutions to common financial problems, which are often unnecessarily complicated by banks and mortgage brokers.

 

Of course, we cannot help everyone, but we will take the time to fully understand your situation and determine whether we have experts who can assist with your specific needs.

How it works?

iCustomer is not here to replace your current financial support network, such as your accountant or financial planner. Instead, we focus on collaboration. We work with you to understand your wants and needs, then connect you with a trusted expert who aligns with your specific goals and requirements.

What We Offer?

For the last 17 years, iCustomer has countered this through their information sessions. The information session is designed so you and your partner, if you have one, can learn what options you have to pay your mortgage off and use your tax offsets wisely to squeeze every last dollar out of your tax return.

These information sessions have been so helpful at matching customers and experts that experts have been giving up their time for no charge because they know that they are talking to a customer that they will be able to help and the customer will want to work with them to solve their issues and become their trusted advisor to their finance freedom. 

We do not replace any of your current Accountant or Financial Planner. Instead, we work with you to learn about your wants and needs and then match up you up with a trusted financial advisor that fits those wants and needs.

First step is you are referred to us and we will give you a call, or, conversely, you have called our free number

Following this, one of our highly trained customer service advisors will spend time with you over the phone to ascertain whether we have someone to help you

If we have someone to help, we set up a face to face or zoom information session depending on your location

You are then contacted by our Client Management team who will better understand your financial profile and then tell you who they have matched you with
.
Before the information session goes ahead, we send you information about the expert we have matched you with
.
We confirm the session time is still good for you on the day/evening that you have chosen
.
After the session you will most likely receive a call from us to ensure that you were happy with the session and then our job has been done
.
This information session is free of charge. The experts volunteer their time because they believe the information and solutions they provide will encourage you to consider doing business with them in the future. If you choose to proceed, the decision is entirely yours.

We get paid to ensure we have matched you with the right expert who will be able to tailer the right solution to eradicate your home loan debt in 8-10 years or set you up for a comfortable retirement.
